Addyson's 1st Birthday

I absolutly love planning kids parties, especially for my own! When I started planning Addy's, I became obsessed! After weeks of researching and debating on what she would like (since a 1 year old really cares!) I finally decided on a Pink Flamingo theme using hot pink and orange as the primary colors.

Thank goodness for Pinterest and Etsy because I dont know what I would have done without all the great ideas and inspiration. I had a blast planning and executing her party. It was so much fun!

I absolutly loved the favor bags and all the flamingo details!

We even hired Vinny the Twister, the best balloon guy in town! He made the most amazing creations... Obviosuly flamingo's, monkeys, princesses, dolphins, cats, cinderella and so many more.

The kids loved it!

And then there was cake.... Addyson just dove right in!!! What a great day! It was the best birthday party I could have imagined for her. I love my little flamingo!

Monkey Birthday Party

Here are some additional pictures that came from my friend Bethany, the party planner who planned the 2 Little Monkey's birthday party. She initially asked me to help make the 100 chocolate covered bananas, which ended up being a tad more difficult to perfect than I had imagined. Between freezing them for 2-3 hours prior to dipping and keeping the chocolate from clumping, it wasn't as easy breezy as I expected. For it being my first attempt, hiccups are to be expected but I definitely learned a thing or two for next time!

She provided the striped straws, which are adorable! That really adds to the presentation. I decided to use white and dark chocolate so we could really make the pink and purple sprinkles pop.

I decided to embark on the monkey cake pops on my own since i've always wanted to try character pops and this was the perfect opportunity. Everyone seemed to really enjoy them, especially the birthday girl! What one year old doesn't like anything chocolate?!?

Thank you Bethany for thinking of me to help with these, everything turned out great!!

Monkey Cake Pops

So I finally attempted to make these adorable monkey cake pops for a friends party and they are soo cute! They are extremely time consuming, but a huge hit and definitely worth the hard work :)

I used chocolate chips for the ears and then just melted butterscotch chips and drew on the face and inner ears with a tooth pick. Surprisingly, it was easier than I expected.

Next, I think I will try lady bugs!
